Doula Office Hours
In-person appointments are available on Mondays at my office inside Root to Rise Studio & Wellness in Scarborough, Maine.
One-on-one support for the questions, decisions, and “I don't know what I don't know” moments of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
If you decide after our session that you'd like to hire me for doula support, the cost of your Office Hours session will be applied toward your service.
My office at Root to Rise Studio & Wellness is located at 7 Portland Farms Rd #3
Scarborough, ME 04074
You don't have to hire a doula to have access to one.
Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can come with a lot of questions—and sometimes you don't need an entire doula package. You just need a knowledgeable person to sit down with you, help you sort through what's on your mind, and point you toward information and resources that can help.
Doula Office Hours are 50-minute, one-on-one sessions designed to meet you wherever you are. Come with a whole list of questions, one decision you've been turning over in your head, or simply, “I don't know what I don't know—help!”
Our time together is yours. We might talk through your birth intentions, prepare for a conversation with your care provider, explore your options, practice movement and positioning, talk about postpartum, find local resources, or simply make space for the questions that have been piling up.
My role isn't to tell you what to do. It's to help you understand your options, identify what matters to you, and feel more informed as you make decisions for yourself and your family.
Partners, other support people, and children are always welcome to join you.
What Can We Talk About?

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Not at all! That's the whole idea.
Office Hours are designed to give you access to individualized doula support without committing to an ongoing doula relationship. You are welcome to book a single session whenever you could use some extra information, support, or space to talk something through.
-
That's completely okay. You don't need to arrive with a perfectly organized list of questions.
Sometimes knowing where to begin is part of what you need help with. Tell me what's been on your mind, where you are in your pregnancy or postpartum experience, and we'll figure out where to start together.
-
Absolutely. I call them Birth Intentions, because birth doesn't always follow a plan—but understanding your options and thinking about what matters to you can still be incredibly valuable.
We can use Office Hours to explore your preferences, talk through common decisions that may come up during labor and birth, identify questions for your care team, and help you communicate what matters to you.
-
Yes. I can help you better understand your options, organize your questions, find reputable information, and prepare for a conversation with your healthcare provider.
Doula Office Hours provide educational and non-medical support and aren't a substitute for medical advice or care. Decisions about your individual health or pregnancy should be made with your healthcare provider.
-
Yes! Depending on what you're hoping to explore, we can incorporate movement, positioning, comfort measures, and Spinning Babies® principles into our time together.
If your baby is currently in a breech presentation and you're looking specifically for more extensive hands-on movement and positioning support, my 90-minute Breech Support Session may be a better fit.
-
Absolutely. Partners and other support people are welcome—and children are, too.
If there's someone who will be supporting you during birth or postpartum, bringing them along can be a great opportunity to ask questions, talk through decisions, and make sure everyone feels a little more prepared.

Office Hours are regularly offered on Mondays, and I don’t currently have the capacity to offer appointments on other days. However, if Mondays simply don’t work for your schedule, please reach out. When my schedule allows, I’m happy to see if we can find another time that works for both of us.

Wonderful! If Office Hours help you realize you'd like ongoing support through pregnancy, birth, or postpartum, we can talk about which of my doula services might be the best fit.
