MEET ALAYNA
I’m a birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, prenatal yoga and barre teacher, Spinning Babies® Certified Parent Educator, and nutrition enthusiast serving families in Maine and virtually.
I was called to birth work in 2018 after several years working in child nutrition and farm-to-school program development. Long before I became a doula, I was fascinated by the connection between education, health, and the choices we make for ourselves and our families. These days, I'm pursuing a Master of Science in Applied Nutrition and Dietetics because apparently I haven't exhausted my capacity to geek out about food, physiology, and how our bodies work.
I believe that education, informed decision-making, and personal agency are essential components of positive birth and postpartum experiences. Every family deserves access to inclusive, evidence-based support and the confidence to make choices that align with their values.
When we work together, you'll find that I take my work seriously—but not always myself. Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can bring excitement, uncertainty, vulnerability, and sometimes a healthy dose of anxiety. My goal is to create a space where you feel informed and supported, where all questions are welcome, and where we can occasionally laugh together, too.
Whether we're discussing comfort measures for labor, practicing Spinning Babies® movements, planning for postpartum, or nerding out about nutrition, I'm here to help you feel more prepared, more confident, and more connected to your journey.
